Technical Qualifications and Prerequisites
Legal Videography Expertise:
Legal videographers at Caption Legal are responsible for capturing high-quality video recordings of depositions, court proceedings, and other legal matters. This requires a deep understanding of the legal field and the specific requirements for video documentation. Successful candidates will have experience with professional video equipment, knowledge of legal procedures, and a meticulous approach to ensuring the accuracy and reliability of video records.
Hybrid and Remote Deposition Services:
In today's evolving legal landscape, flexibility is key. Caption Legal provides both hybrid and remote deposition services, allowing attorneys and clients to participate in legal proceedings from various locations. Our videographers must be adept at managing these setups, ensuring seamless communication between all parties involved. Experience with video conferencing platforms, remote recording technologies, and the ability to troubleshoot potential technical issues is crucial.
Technical Skills and Certification:
While certification as a Certified Legal Video Specialist (CLVS) through the National Court Reporters Association (NCRA) is preferred, it is not required. However, a strong technical background in videography, paired with familiarity with legal protocols, will be essential to succeed in this role. Candidates should be comfortable with professional-grade video equipment, lighting, and audio systems, as well as possess strong problem-solving skills to handle the unique challenges that may arise during legal recordings.
